It’s that time again soon. On the 13th of May, the Curve Market takes place for the 6th time. At 25 tables, second hand fashion is sold in large sizes, many of the sellers have been there since the first time.
For me, this event is more than just a place to buy and sell cheap clothes. Rather, it is an expression of my philosophy of life. From time immemorial, I have bought relatively few new things and always tried to preserve, embellish and transform what I possessed. Furniture, everyday items and clothes od mine are always in an embellishing process.
My own clothes have always been equipped with badges and patches. This brought me to the idea of altering clothes for the Curvy Market and making them individual pieces. Those pieces are out my own closet or from the wonderful Charity Shops in England, which I visit once a month with great joy.
Vintage Levis jeans jacket with magnolia embroidery, size XL
Monsoon vintage jeans skirt, stretch, with rose embroidery, Size 18
Peacock jeans jacket, destroyed with dragon embroidery front and back, Size 20
sweat jacket jeans style Size. 20 not quite finished.
Of course this will not be all. Until the curve market on the 13th of May, I have a series of embellishing ideas that I will implement.
